Iwona Buczek

Iwona Buczek
MSc Hydrogeology/Engineering Geology AGH, University of Science and Technology, Cracow (Poland)

Research Interests
Since joining CWI in 2015, Iwona has been working on the NCRIS Groundwater Infrastructure project as a technical officer. Her current work involves collection, synthesis and analysis of the data from the remote monitoring stations. She is also responsible for repair and maintenance of field and communication equipment used for remote data collection.

Calvin Li

Calvin P. Li
BEng (Hons) UNSW

Research Interests
Calvin's PhD research focuses in understanding the recharge behaviour of depleted aquifers in semiarid environments. The importance of groundwater recharge via streams relative to diffuse recharge will be quantified through integrated numerical modelling of ground- and surface water. Calvin’s research interests include groundwater-surface water interaction, managed aquifer recharge and conjunctive water management.

Dayna McGeeney

Dayna McGeeney
BSc (Hons 1)

Research Interests
Dayna has over four years of experience in stratigraphic and geochemical analysis in sedimentary and mineralised units within Australia and PNG. With a BSc. Geology with Spatial Information Systems (Honours 1), Dayna has recently joined the UNSW Water Research Laboratory and is responsible for the geotechnical centrifuge and geochemical laboratory. Her current work involves preparing and analysing drill cores from clayey sediments and shales for geotechnical characterisation of porewater, mineralogy and hydraulic conductivity.
